At Northside, we place a heavy emphasis on Bible education. The Bible emphasizes such as well:
- The Bible is God’s Word (2 Tim. 3:16-17; 2 Pet. 1:20-21).
- The Word of God is truth (Jn. 17:17; Jn. 8:32).
- The Word of God is powerful (Heb. 4:12).
- The Word of God is to be studied diligently (2 Tim. 2:15).
- It is through the Gospel that men learn how to be saved (Rom. 1:16).
God’s Word is man’s source for spiritual knowledge. It is the Bible that teaches about the nature of God, the history of the world, the future of the world, what happens at death, the nature of man, and God’s plan for man’s redemption: Jesus Christ. Without a firm understanding of Scripture, it is impossible to have the faith the Bible demands, that which comes from hearing the Word of God (Rom. 10:17).
At Northside, we have numerous avenues in place to teach God’s word. Below is a listing of our teaching ministries:
- Sunday morning Bible class: We have an adult Bible class in the auditorium and also classes for all other age groups.
- Sunday morning and evening sermons: The sermons that are preached are from God’s Word (not man’s philosophy, opinions, current events, etc).
- Tuesday morning Bible class: This class meets at 10:00 AM and is for all who would like to attend.
- Wednesday night Bible class: The adult class meets in the auditorium to engage is robust biblical teaching and discussion. We offer classes for all other age groups as well.
- Thursday evening Bible class: This class takes place at 6:00 PM. It is a first principles class that is open to all who would like to study God’s word.
- Personal Bible studies: There is no replacement for one-on-one Bible studies. The Bible is the greatest book ever written and deserves the individual attention of all. These studies are customizable depending on the current knowledge level of the student. We are always ready to conduct a one-on-one study with anybody who is willing.
