The Nature of Edification

  • Paul’s example of doing “all things” for their edification:
    • His goal was to “edify,” i.e. build them up.
    • Including necessary correction (2 Cor. 7:8; 13:10).
    • His purpose was to “build up” not destroy (2 Cor. 10:7-8).
